Yes! We are here

Finally! It’s been fun, the time we’ve spend on preparing for EUDEC and now it’s really happening. Of course these last two days a lot of work needs to be done, but being here together in this atmosphere doesn’t feel like it.

Good food

Last friday we had our last meeting on site, so we can really decide how to arrange everything: The entrance, the info/shop, the main tent, the campsite and last but not least: the restaurant. And maybe more important than where we can eat is what we will eat.

The caterer was present, he has clarity about the menu, diets and allergies, all that’s needed now is: final numbers, so he can order his ingredients. The cooking crew is looking forward to serving us and we are looking forward to good food. How about you?

Taking the leap

Of course you’ve heard about the book that’s been written, to celebrate the anniversary of several schools. We interviewed alumni of 12 different schools and Janneke, Claartje and Elizabeth turned it into a book. They also share about the values we have in democratic schools. We’re happy to share that the book is available in English in the shop at EUDEC. For 25 euro you can take it home and share with your friends.

This isn’t the only book that’s been written to share the experience gained in over 20 years of democratic schools in the Netherlands. Some of them are also available in English, so be sure to come and take a look.
